This program teaches basic pacemaker skills needed by all staff nurses. It includes a tutorial on pacemaker function, how to recognize paced beats, deciphering the NBG Code, diagnosing pacemaker malfunction and troubleshooting pacemaker problems. There is also a realistic simulation that allows the user to determine the stimulation and sensitivity thresholds and become accustomed to manipulating pacemaker dials to get the desired response.
