The ABG tutorial teaches the physiologic mechanisms
that alter acid base balance, the physiologic conditions associated
with imbalances, and compensation and correction of imbalances. Users
can practice and test their knowledge in a variety of ways. They can
select the diagnosis of an unlimited number of randomly generated
blood gas samples. Alternately the computer will diagnose blood gas
values input by the user. Users learn while having fun trying to
stump the program. The Simulation module provides a "real
life" situation where proper diagnosis of blood gas problems
affects the patient's outcome. For the test portion of the program,
the computer randomly generates ten questions from an unlimited
number of problems. Users never see the same test twice
